IRONDOG 5k

IRONDOG 5K Join us on Saturday, March 21st - 2026 for our 12th annual event. The IRONDOG Fund was created to support the medical and surgical care of animals hospitalized at the MSU Veterinary Medical Center. The IRONDOG 5K is our largest annual fundraiser.  Join us for a flat, fast, and fun course through the campus of MSU. Dogs are welcome with walkers, they must be leashed and we ask that you start at the back of the start line area. Pricing: $30 until 3/13 with a t-shirt guaranteed. $35 from 3/14 to 3/20 limited shirts available. $40 race day (shirts while supplies last)  Register by 3/13 to be guaranteed a t-shirt. T-shirts available as supplies last after that date. MSU Tower Guard Shamrock 5k run, walk, roll!

The Tower Guard class of 2000 founded the Shamrock 5k Run – Walk – Roll as an annual event to raise funds for the Resource Center for Persons with Disabilities serving spartans students! This year we carry on the tradition and are hosting the 26th Annual Shamrock 5k on March 22, 2026 at 10:00 am on the Michigan State University campus in East Lansing, Michigan. All donations raised by Tower Guard 2025-2026 will go to RCPD towards students’ disability related needs.   Tower Guard  collaborates with the RCPD to help scribe for exams, create more accessible textbooks, hold one-on-one tutoring, and build a more inclusive environment for all Spartans. Well over 85% of the reading for the visually impaired is done by Tower Guard, thus maintaining MSU's outstanding service to students with disabilities. Tower Guard was founded in 1934 by May Shaw, the wife of former MSU president Robert Shaw. She founded the then all female honor society as a service oriented organization which would help

LivSports 24 Hour Adult Hockey Marathon - MSU

What is the LivSports 24 Hour Adult Hockey Marathon benefiting LivFree? Here’s how it all works - the event is a continuous game with 60 to 90 skaters playing on two teams in 3 rotating groups based on ability with a running score from opening puck drop to the final horn. Each player raises $1000 dollars for the cause. LivFree is a pediatric cancer non-profit organization that provides children and their families with moments of joy to take a break from struggle and enjoy some family time together. Whether it's tickets to a game, a broadway show, a night out - LivFree is here to help the whole family.  When will this take place and how does it work? The event starts at 2pm on Saturday, April 18th, 2026 and the final horn will sound at 2pm, Sunday April 19th. Teams will be broken up into 3 groups (A, B, and C) based on ability and each skater will get a minimum of 6 hours of ice time. Run for the House

Register today for the 2026 Run for the House! Ronald McDonald House Mid-Michigan is please to welcome back our Champion Sponsor, MSU Federal Credit Union! The 2026 Run for the House will start and finish at the MSU Federal Credit Union Headquarters in East Lansing. There is something for everyone at this community event, including a 5K run/walk, a 10K run, a 10K Ruck and a Kids One Mile Fun Run & Sprint. A virtual option is also offered.  In-Person Race: Participants who choose this option will participate on the marked courses beginning on MSUFCU's Headquarters on Sunday, April 19, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. The 5K course will guide you out onto West Road and through the paved paths on MSUFCU's campus. The 10K course will be a double loop of the 5K course with some differences that will be noted with signs and by volunteers. Both courses will be chip timed by the Michigan Running Foundation.

Solidarity Race For Humanity

Join us for the 3rd annual Race for Humanity Solidarity 5K, a run dedicated to raising awareness and support for people facing humanitarian crises. This year, Students for Justice and Palestine are proud to partner with the Sudanese Student Association to expand our impact and bring communities together for a meaningful cause. All proceeds from the race will be split 50/50 between two organizations working to provide critical humanitarian aid: HEAL Palestine and The Najwa Foundation. Max's Race for The Davies Project

Max's Race for The Davies Project 2026, our 21st annual in-person 5k run/walk, will be held on the beautiful campus of Michigan State University. Consider a scavenger hunt of Max's favorite things such as the moon, the color orange, or MSU's mascot Sparty to honor the legacy of Max who passed away at the age of 6 due to complications from meningitis.  Proceeds from the event will support free round-trip rides to medical appointments for children facing serious health challenges. Big Babies 5K

Big Babies 5k run/walk 2026 race date - Sunday, September 13th    The Big Babies 5K run/walk provides financial support for medical expenses for caring for young large animals (foals, crias, calves, kids, etc.) that require treatment at MSU’s Veterinary Medical Center. Medical expenses for newborn animals are generally unanticipated and can be substantial. The Big Babies Fund will be used to cover part of the medical expenses for clients in need. Funds are also used to support the training needs of students and residents who will become veterinarians and specialists who can help "Big Babies"    Dogs are welcome to walk with their owners in this event. We ask that you start at the back of the group and that dogs are leashed.   Pricing: $30 until August 28th, then $35 until the 12th of Sept.
