The Carlsbad Bilingual Seventh-day Adventist Church is organizing a Family Duathlon at Joyce Park, Artesia, open to ages 2 and up. This event is focused on bringing families together and encouraging those who may not have been very active to start enjoying a healthier and more active lifestyle. The funds raised will be donated to support an education project in Chad, Africa. We also invite anyone who feels inspired to make a voluntary donation. The race includes both cycling and running sections. 👉 Helmets and a bicycle are required to participate in the race. CATEGORIES & DISTANCES – FAMILY DUATHLON 🔹 Category 1: Ages 2–4 (Mini Adventurers) Run 1: 80 m (walking or jogging, accompanied by an adult if necessary) Cycling: 400 m (balance bike, tricycle, or training wheels) Run 2: 80 m 🔹 Category 2: Ages 5–9 (Adventurers) Run 1: 80 m Cycling: 1 km (0.6 miles) Run 2: 400 m 🔹 Category 3: Ages 10–15 (Pathfinders) Run 1: 80 m Cycling: 6 km (3.7 miles) Run 2: 1 km 🔹 Category 4: Ages 16+ & Beginners, Adults (Family Challenge) Run 1: 80 m Cycling: 10 km (6 miles) Run 2: 2 km (1.25 miles)

Come join us at the 3rd Annual City of Artesia 5K Run/Walk! The goal of our event is to promote health and fitness in the Artesia Community! We invite you to run or walk our event, meet new friends, and enjoy our Health & Wellness expo afterwards, featuring food truck, vendors, giveaways, and more! Event is rain or shine! Race Bib Pickup: Participants will be able to pick up their race bibs early on Thursday, November 19 and Friday November 20 at the Albert O. Little Community Center at Artesia Park (18750 Clarkdale Ave.) during the hours of 5pm-8pm. Bibs can also be picked up the day of the race before 6:30am!
