Join the Lauren’s Kids foundation and thousands of walkers across the state for the 2026 Walk in My Shoes 1,500-mile trek across Florida. April is National Sexual Assault Awareness Month and National Child Abuse Prevention Month — every step counts in the fight to prevent child sexual abuse and help survivors heal. WALK IN MY SHOES TAMPA Date: Thursday, April 9th, 2026 Start location: Al Lopez Park Shelter 311- 4810 N Himes Ave Tampa, FL 33614 Registration Begins: 11:00 AM Walk Start: 12:15 PM Details:  Join us for a 5-mile walk to the Publix Super Market at Westshore (4900 W Kennedy Blvd Tampa, FL 33609) — with the opportunity to stop or continue walking our full 7-mile route to Cypress Point Park (5620 W Cypress St Tampa, FL 33607)! An UBER code will be provided to walkers to cover the cost of a ride back from the walk.
