Join the Lauren’s Kids foundation and thousands of walkers across the state for the 2026 Walk in My Shoes 1,500-mile trek across Florida. April is National Sexual Assault Awareness Month and National Child Abuse Prevention Month — every step counts in the fight to prevent child sexual abuse and help survivors heal. WALK IN MY SHOES TALLAHASSEE (Full Walk & Safety Fair) Date: Friday, May 1st, 2026  Start location: Kleman Plaza (306 S Duval St., Tallahassee, FL 32301) Registration Begins: 11:30 AM Walk Start: 12:30 PM Details:  Join us for a 3-mile walk to Governor’s Square Mall (1500 Apalachee Pkwy., Tallahassee, FL 32301) — with the opportunity to stop for a water break or continue walking back to Kleman Plaza - another 2 miles. From Klemen Plaza, Lauren will lead the final 3 miles of the entire 1,500 mile walk across the state, ending on South Adams Street in town for a Safety Fair and celebration for all ages! The Safety Fair is a FREE, family-friendly block party packed with fun
