Families and community members can gather in beautiful spring weather to make strides against dyslexia or participate with a virtual option. On Saturday, May 16, 2026, the public is invited to join in the Walk for Dyslexia to benefit the Madison Area Children’s Dyslexia Center, which offers free, individualized tutoring for Dane County children who struggle with reading, writing, and spelling. In-person registration will begin at 8:30 am at Brittingham Park (829 W. Washington Avenue, Madison, WI).  The 5K walk/fun run will start at 9:30 am (NEW TIME FOR 2026!). Participants are welcome to run or walk the course. No timing is provided. Dogs are welcome at Brittingham Park, according to the City of Madison. The City of Madison does require all dogs to be on a leash (leashes must be non-retractable and a maximum of 6 feet long). We kindly request that you respect your fellow event participants and keep a close eye on your dog. Virtual Option: Invite out-of-town or even out-of-state friend
