The Barley Chase

The Barley Chase is a USATF Certified 5k/10k race located in Newport, NC. Race day is Sunday, October 18, 2026 at 9:00 am. The race starts and ends at Shortway Brewing Co. and meanders through the heart of Newport. Participants will receive a t-shirt, finisher medal, and 2 post-run pints at the after party!! ***All participants subject to ID check.*** ***T-Shirt size is not guaranteed for registrations after 8/31.*** Awards will be given to overall top 3 males & females and the top 2 in each age division for both males and females. Age Divisions are 14 & under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 & above. Water stations will be set up at the halfway points of each course.
