About Family Service of the Piedmont The High Point Guild supports the work of Family Service of the Piedmont, a local agency dedicated to empowering individuals and families to restore hope, achieve stability and thrive through quality support services, advocacy and education. Every year, we serve over 28,000 children and adults through direct service and community outreach, addressing issues of child abuse, domestic violence, mental health and financial stability. Last fiscal year our Children's Advocacy Centers conducted 387 forensic interviews. That means they investigated an average of 8 cases of potential child abuse every week.
