Run the River 5k & 1 Mile Kids Fun Run

The 1st annual Run the River 5k can be characterized as a fairly easy trail run. It’s mostly on grass, with some gravel, and a very short paved section. It’s a great opportunity to give some easy off road running a try without lots of difficult terrain. The surrounding hill and countryside will be the backdrop, making a picturesque autumn run on mostly level turf for this area. This event is open to all abilities and proceeds benefit Pisgah High School Cross Country. Do something good for yourself and for high school athletes! Registration for Kids’ 1 Mile Fun Run will be the day of the event. It will be $5/child (cash only) and a parent is welcome to run alongside. Finishers will receive a ribbon awarded at the finish line. Start time will be at 8:40am. Entries are limited and prices will increase periodically before race day, so be sure to sign up early!
