ALL THINGS FUN SPORTS PRESENTS ORCA RECOVERY VIRTUAL CHALLENGE SEPTEMBER 1 – OCTOBER 31, 2026 Choose your pod. Log your miles. Help protect the Southern Resident orcas. Every Mile Has a Purpose. 🐋 The Southern Resident killer whales are one of the Pacific Northwest's most incredible treasures. Made up of three family groups — J, K and L Pods — these orcas live in close-knit, matriarchal families and depend on healthy waters and abundant food to survive. This challenge gives you a way to move your body, learn more about these amazing animals, and raise awareness for their future — one mile at a time. Choose Your Challenge You don't need to travel anywhere to participate. Complete your miles wherever you are — outside, on the road, on a trail, around your neighborhood or on a treadmill. 76 MILES THE FULL SOUTHERN RESIDENT CHALLENGE Complete the combined mileage of J, K and L Pods and take on the ultimate Orca Recovery challenge. 27 MILES J POD 15 MILES K POD 34 MILES L POD How It Works 1. Their families are deeply connected, with many individuals spending their lives alongside their mothers and grandmothers. By participating, you're helping create awareness around the importance of protecting the habitat and resources these incredible animals depend on. 🍻 Run Local. Drink Local. Protect Local. This October, stop by our friends at Firemind Brewing in Puyallup and raise a glass for Orca Recovery. On October 11, a portion of purchases of the Orca Recovery Brew will help support efforts to protect the Southern Resident orcas we all love. Keep the Momentum Going! Join us Sunday, October 18 for the Puyallup Valley Fall Hops Harvest 5K. Celebrate fall in the Pacific Northwest with fellow runners and walkers while continuing to support local conservation efforts. Ready to Make Your Miles Matter? Choose your pod. Start moving.
