Myles for a Mission 5K

Myles for a Mission 5K - The mission of the 5k is to raise awareness of childhood drowning prevention.  This race is held to honor the memory of Myles Davis Pope.  Myles tragically passed away just shy of his 2nd birthday due to a drowning accident.  Our mission is to raise money and awareness to prevent and educate others of childhood drownings.  Drowning is the leading cause of death for children ages 1-4, and the second leading cause of unintentional death for children ages 5-14. Children five years old and younger are especially vulnerable, representing 75% of child drowning deaths.  Boys are also more than twice as likely to drown as girls.   All proceeds will be donated to the Myles Davis Pope Memorial Fund.
