Registration the day of the event onsite.) Rules and Regulations 1. Runners shall complete the course as marked and directed. 2. Runners/Walkers must complete the course in which they have registered. 3. All decisions of the committee as to finish time, place and any disqualifications shall be final. 4. Age Groups/RUN - 18-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-Over About the Mountain State Forest Festival 2026 marks the 88th year of the Mountain State Forest Festival, one of the largest and oldest festivals in West Virginia. The Mountain State Forest Festival promotes the beauty and splendor of the West Virginia mountains and plays a major role in our local and state economy. This year's festival, with the theme of Autumn in Color, includes nightly live music and entertainment in the beautiful downtown amphitheater, a lumberjack competition, forestry and wood exhibits, juried art show, photography exhibit, quilt show, arts and crafts, amusement rides, three parades, and the Royal Coronation of Queen Silvia.
