98th Annual running of Mount Marathon Saturday, July 4, 2026.    Join the community of Seward for the 98th annual running of the Mount Marathon Race. The men’s and women’s course is a grueling 1.5-mile climb up, and back down, Alaska’s majestic and treacherous Mount Marathon. Runners from around the world join Seward residents and runners from around Alaska, in pursuit of a common goal: to win, place, or simply complete this iconic footrace.
