Helping Hand Run & Jam III

The Helping Hand Run & Jam is a 5k race that raises money for and awareness about food insecurity in Warren County. All race profits will be donated to Helping Hand, Indianola's local food pantry. To sign up for the race, you can bring ten non-perishable food items or pay $15 when registering. Run & Jam is for anyone, from a seasoned runner ready to set a new PR to someone looking for a relaxing Saturday morning walk with friends to support a great cause. This event is a down-and-back race on a paved trail (Summerset Trail), so participants can run on stable ground. Check-in for the race will begin at 11 am and end at 11:50 am, behind Outside Scoop and next to the Medicap. In addition to the race this year, we are holding a raffle sponsored by local businesses (See Sponsors Here), with the drawing at noon and the raffle starting shortly after. You can purchase tickets either online or during check-in. To provide entertainment for runners and spectators, we will have KNIA's Lil Red Radio to help amp up the start of the race, and speakers playing along the entire trail to keep the fun going. You can use street parking or go to the back parking lot of Wells Fargo (follow signage). Carpooling is highly recommended. Indianola Hyvee will provide water, granola bars, bananas, and popsicles at the end of the race. If you would like a t-shirt, please sign up here before September 23rd at 4:30 pm.
