GWTC 5K for Sickle Cell Anemia & Tim Simpkins 1 Mile

The 45th Annual 5K for Sickle Cell Anemia & Tim Simpkins 1 Mile will be the best yet. The course, through the historic Jake Gaither Neighborhood, is very fast and provides participants with a great chance to run personal bests. Volunteers for this race are abundant and enthusiastic. Proceeds from the race go to the Sickle Cell Foundation, Inc. to help families dealing with Sickle Cell Disease. Race packet pickup is Friday, September 11, from 4:00-7:00pm or Saturday morning before the race, both at the Jake Gaither Community Center. The Tim Simpkins 1 Mile Race starts at 8:00 a.m. The 5K starts at 8:30 a.m.
