Frederick County Parks and Recreation Youth Running Club

We’re excited to welcome young runners ages 7–14, no matter their experience level. This session focuses on building endurance, improving form, and making running fun and rewarding for everyone.  Registration includes entry into a few exciting local races: Kids' Bloomin' Mile (May 1), Loudoun Street Mile (May 25), Glow All Out 5K (July 17) and $10 off the Sherando Youth Triathlon (August 2). Throughout the season, we'll work on proper running technique, dynamic stretching, pacing strategies, and teamwork. Runners should bring running shoes, water, and a healthy snack to stay fueled during practice.
