Fiddlers 5k, Kids Fun Run, and Fun Day

The Athens State University Alumni Association is hosting the annual Fiddlers 5k Race, Kids Fun Run, and Family Fun Day event presented by Aetos Systems, Inc. and National Space Club, Huntsville, AL. Proceeds from this event will provide scholarships benefit for new and current students and the Nazaretian Scholarship in honor of Dr. Angeline Nazaretian.  This fun day will feature a kids' fun zone with inflatables, face painting, and hot dogs.  A paid race entry is required to access the fun zone.    Our USATF certified race route will begin and end at Athens State University and will showcase the historical district in Athens. Our Kids fun run will start and end on Athens State Campus and will be highlighted by an appearance from Hebrew the Bear. Our goal is to have 250 runners, showcase the history and beauty of Athens, and provide our community with a family friendly event that everyone can participate in.    IMPORTANT:  The start and finish line for the race course will be rever
