Farrah’s courage and devotion to protecting her community left an indelible mark on Florence, South Carolina, and beyond. This event is a chance to unite in remembrance, celebrate her legacy, and support the mission she inspired: to protect and serve children who are victims of sexual assault. The Story Behind the RaceOn October 3, 2018, our small community was shaken when Investigator Farrah Turner and six other officers were ambushed in Florence, SC. Farrah’s bravery and tenacity were evident as she fought for her life for 19 days before passing away on October 22, 2018. To honor her memory, the Farrah Turner Foundation was established to carry forward her passion for helping children in need.
