Family Enrichment Center's Run & Walk for Children

Traditionally held on the last Saturday in March to mark the kick-off of Child Abuse Prevention Month, the German American Bank Run & Walk for Children, hosted by Family Enrichment Center, features a half marathon, 5k run, and 5k fun walk. The Friday evening before the race, participants and families are invited to join us for a festive Family Expo and Pasta Party during packet pick-up, followed by our free kids’ one-mile Glow Run. This year marks the event’s 30th Anniversary, and we’re celebrating in style by throwin’ it back to the 90s with all your favorite songs, movies, and of course, the iconic green SLIME! RegistrationRegistration opens December 1, 2025!Half Marathon and 5K Run participants are eligible for age-category awards and be chip-timed by Bluegrass Timing. Registration fees include a long-sleeve, Sport-Tek race shirt, finisher's medal, a Pasta Party meal ticket, and pre/post race snacks. 5K Walk participants receive a finisher's medal and a poly/cotton blend
