Airy Ridge Run is a perennial favorite. This is the largest park in the city and features extensive trails.  Mt. Airy Forest is, in fact, is one of the larger parks located within a city's limits in the country. Even Central Park can only boast 843 acres, while Mt. Airy holds a massive 1,469.9 acres. The Mt. Airy Forest Ridge Run is aptly named, as the runners will get a wilderness experience that mirrors the Sierras at times. The course winds through all of the features Mt. Airy has to offer, such as its lush evergreens, dense hardwoods, open meadows, flowing rivers, and of course, hill climbs and ridge traverses. The Mt.
