Brain cancer is the leading cause of disease-related death in children, and Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG) remains one of the deadliest pediatric brain cancers. Most children diagnosed with DIPG survive only 9–12 months, and there is currently no cure. No family should ever hear that their child's cancer is incurable.
